About the role
As a Firmware Manager in the FW Management group in Santa Clara, you will lead a development team responsible for networking product firmware while participating directly in hands-on development. The role focuses on developing modern networking features for cloud, HPC, and storage environments across pre- and post-silicon platforms.
What you'll do
- Lead an engineering team developing out-of-band / side-band management and peripherals, including communications with the BMC.
- Provide technical guidance, career mentorship, and project execution support to maintain team productivity.
- Drive the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering activities across the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with architecture and software design teams in pre- and post-silicon development environments for networking products.
- Perform system debugging across hardware, firmware, and software stacks to support FW switching products.
What you'll need
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of managerial experience.
- 8+ overall years of relevant firmware development experience.
- Proficiency in C and assembly programming.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Solid understanding of embedded SW and real-time programming.
