About the role

This role involves leading customer process engagement, new product introduction (NPI), and the successful transition of processes to high volume manufacturing (HVM).

What you'll do

• Develop strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted technical advisor.
• Lead a field process team responsible for process development, qualification, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Own and drive critical customer escalations through timely resolution.
• Lead NPI programs through qualification and successful HVM adoption.
• Partner with ASM R&D, Product Engineering, KPU, Business Units, Field Service, and Sales teams to execute technology programs.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing process engineers.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 9+ years of experience with a Master's degree, or 6+ years with a PhD in the semiconductor industry, with expertise in thin-film processes such as PEALD, PECVD, LPCVD, ALD, Epitaxy, or Vertical Furnace.
• Proven ability to manage new product and process introduction, and the transfer of complex deposition processes and hardware from R&D to HVM.
• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactively manage escalations and maintain clear communication among customers, service teams, business units, and external suppliers.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property boundaries between ASM and customers.
