About the role
The Manager, Customer Engineer III manages, coaches, and directs multiple customer engineering teams supporting semiconductor customer accounts and locations.
What you'll do
- Lead, develop, and coach multiple customer engineering teams, managing resource utilization, salary planning, talent development, and performance appraisals.
- Oversee system installation planning, reporting, and execution, including pre-facility meetings, start-up meetings, and process support identification across multiple customer sites.
- Execute customer, technical, and operational escalation procedures, coordinating cross-functional resources across Product Divisions, Sales, and Field Engineering.
- Serve as the prime interface with Product Divisions for technical support, training, spares, and reliability across multiple customer teams.
- Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) procedures and monitor customer engineer hours tracking, ensuring accurate accounting and workload balancing.
- Collaborate on account planning with District Sales Engineers, deliver system sales support plans, and manage financial forecasting and cost efficiency for your area of responsibility.
What you'll need
- Supervisory experience leading and developing customer-facing engineering teams across multiple accounts and locations.
- Demonstrated technical and operational background managing customer engineering, system installations, and field operations.
- Experience managing technical, operational, and customer escalations in cross-functional environments.
- Experience interfacing with product divisions regarding technical support, spares, training, and reliability.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
