About the role
MACOM is seeking an equipment technician in Morgan Hill, CA to perform repair, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities on processing equipment. Coverage areas may include Plasma Deposition, Die Attach, Wire Bond, or Epoxy Attach.
What you'll do
- Execute operation, repair, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, adjustments, rebuilding, and modifications on processing equipment to maintain maximum up-time. - Assist engineering with the commissioning of new fabrication equipment. - Use test and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair systems. - Maintain records, written and verbal pass downs, and parts inventory, including reordering parts. - Lead or assist in investigating and resolving equipment-related process issues. - Work inside a clean room environment wearing required clean room garments while adhering to site safety policies.
What you'll need
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in semiconductor fab repair and maintenance. - Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. - Experience handling toxic and reactive chemicals and gases common to the semiconductor industry. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, work in awkward positions as needed, and walk, stand, or sit for up to 8 hours. - Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize issues based on production needs. - U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status) per ITAR regulations.
