Magnetic design engineer for high power density power modules.
About the role
This position is responsible for the design and verification of magnetic components used in high power density power modules, such as inductors and planar transformers. The role requires interdisciplinary expertise in magnetic design, material science, and production feasibility.
What you'll do
- Design inductors and transformers for power modules and discrete applications using electromagnetic simulation.
- Define magnetic component requirements and collaborate with suppliers on manufacturing feasibility and issue resolution.
- Conduct performance testing and defect analysis for magnetic components, optimizing designs based on test and simulation results.
- Establish and update design rules for magnetic components and accumulate relevant design and simulation data.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in material science or electrical engineering or equivalent qualification, with 2+ years of relevant work experience in power module or magnetic component design.
- Proficiency in the design of inductors/planar transformers, with the ability to judge manufacturing and process feasibility.
- Skilled in using relevant electromagnetic simulation and modeling software.

- Maxwell experience.
