About the role
Perform tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials.
What you'll do
- Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers.
- Operate powered machine tools such as vertical CNC mills, manual and CNC lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, and bandsaws.
- Perform machine setups and/or operate equipment that is setup by more skilled operators.
- Routinely perform initial setup on new parts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to produce high-quality products.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Possess math and precision measurement skills.
- Able to read machine drawings.
- Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods.
- Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work any shift as required to meet business needs.
