About the role
As a Machine Operator, you will set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines, including robotic assembly equipment, for the production of the company's product. This role involves the overall operation of manufacturing machinery, performing production tasks, and ensuring results meet predetermined tolerances.
What you'll do
- Perform basic set-ups and operate machines in more than one assigned area
- Operate complex equipment and machines in a safe manner
- Fit, align, and adjust machines or assemblies to meet tolerances and product operating requirements
- Work from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications
- Identify deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity
- Maintain logs and other necessary documents
What you'll need
- Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices
- Ability to operate a variety of machines
- Basic understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements, and MRP concepts
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- 1-2+ years manufacturing or related work experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
