About the role
This role defines the architecture of a Server SoC meeting customer KPIs within the Qualcomm Data Center team.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with chip and platform architects to define and develop Product and SoC architecture. - Develop server roadmap and feature set across one or more architecture domains. - Perform analytical modeling of key server KPIs for performance, power, area, cost, and RAS. - Create detailed architecture specification documents.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant engineering experience; or a Master's degree with 9+ years; or a PhD with 8+ years. - Deep understanding of CPU Server architecture and low power designs at advanced process nodes. - Technical knowledge across CPU and SoC architecture for datacenter and enterprise markets, including Chiplet architecture, Coherency management, Memory system, and Power management. - Experience with RAS, Security, and Debug and Test architecture.
Nice to have
- Over 15 years of experience in CPU and/or SoC architecture, with at least 7 years of experience with a high-performance server chip. - Experience architecting products using chiplets and various package integration technologies. - Strong expertise across SoC domains including IO architecture, coherency management, memory system, power management, and security. - Experience with ARM architecture, including server architectures. - Experience making PPA, cost, feature, and schedule trade-offs for hyperscale data center solutions. - Strong fundamentals in digital ASIC design and power of CMOS circuits.
