This Lead Principal Engineer role involves driving the architecture, design, validation, and commercialization of advanced WLAN PHY solutions, working across RF, MAC, Firmware, and Hardware domains through pre-silicon and post-silicon development phases. The position focuses on innovating wireless technologies, specifically advanced WLAN PHY solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead the design, development, and commercialization of advanced WLAN PHY solutions.
- Drive system architecture, design enhancements, and implementation of key PHY design blocks.
- Identify post-silicon bring-up issues and drive PHY-layer design improvements based on silicon learnings.
- Collaborate with RF and Analog teams to define RF specifications and develop accurate system-level simulation models.
- Support silicon bring-up, validation, and characterization activities to verify design updates and enhancements.
- Analyze and resolve complex cross-layer issues involving WLAN PHY, MAC, RF, Firmware, and board-level systems.
What you'll need
- Deep expertise in wireless communications, signal processing, PHY-layer design, RF systems, and silicon bring-up.
- Proven experience leading wireless systems or design teams and successfully delivering products from concept to commercial deployment.
- Strong foundation in Communication Theory, Signal Processing, and Wireless Communication Systems.
- In-depth knowledge of RF architectures, RF impairments, and their impact on overall system performance.
- Hands-on experience in post-silicon chip bring-up, validation, and debugging, with proficiency in using lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and lab automation tools.
- Expert-level proficiency in MATLAB and C programming, including fixed-point model development and validation.
