This role involves driving the architecture, design, validation, and commercialization of advanced WLAN PHY solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead the design, development, and commercialization of advanced WLAN PHY solutions.
- Drive system architecture, design enhancements, and implementation of key PHY design blocks.
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating system requirements into robust PHY implementations and RTL deliverables.
- Identify post-silicon bring-up issues and drive PHY-layer design improvements.
- Collaborate with RF and Analog teams to define RF specifications and develop accurate system-level simulation models.
- Analyze and resolve complex cross-layer issues involving WLAN PHY, MAC, RF, Firmware, and board-level systems.
What you'll need
- Proven experience leading wireless systems or design teams and delivering products from concept to commercial deployment.
- Strong foundation in Communication Theory, Signal Processing, and Wireless Communication Systems.
- Deep understanding of PHY-layer design and algorithms, including carrier detection, timing and frequency synchronization, AGC, filters, demodulators, tracking loops, decoders.
- In-depth knowledge of RF architectures and RF impairments.
- Hands-on experience in post-silicon chip bring-up, validation, and debugging with lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and lab automation tools.
- Expert-level proficiency in MATLAB and C programming, including fixed-point model development and validation.
