This role involves designing and launching MicroEnvironments products for the safe storage and transport of critical photomasks used in semiconductor manufacturing. It focuses on solving complex problems involving mechanical design, plastic molding, metal machining, and particle contamination control.
What you'll do
- Lead design and development of metal-based photomask handling systems.
- Drive product enhancements and derivative designs to improve performance and manufacturing efficiency.
- Build, test, and validate prototypes in real-world conditions.
- Perform FEA, CFD, and moldflow analyses for design optimization.
- Take products from concept through production launch.
- Conduct root cause investigations to resolve design, manufacturing, or performance issues.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 8 years of hands-on product design and development experience.
- Proficient in CAD software, including SolidWorks and Creo.
- Experience with Design FMEA and Process FMEA.
- Strong precision machining experience and design for manufacturability.
- Solid background in the semiconductor industry including knowledge of customer requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with project management tools such as Accolade.
- Experience with structured product development and project management work environment.
- Experience managing engineering and manufacturing change control processes.
