Qualcomm is hiring a Lead CPU Firmware Verification and Validation Engineer/Manager for its Snapdragon SoC CPU platform firmware.
About the role
Lead a global team responsible for the verification and validation of complex software and firmware platforms, driving end-to-end integration for a high-performance CPU firmware stack. The role centers on developing and validating CPU platform firmware for Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoC platforms.
What you'll do
- Build, manage, and scale a global firmware verification and validation engineering organization. - Define and refine automation strategies to optimize the CI/CD cycle and improve firmware release cadence. - Drive end-to-end integration of the CPU firmware stack across SoC, firmware development, and release management teams. - Contribute to firmware architecture and design with a focus on smooth integration and Design For Test (DFT). - Implement risk management and regression testing practices to ensure the stability and reliability of production software. - Lead resource allocation planning across concurrent programs and manage support pipelines to improve SLA management.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of software engineering experience (or Master's with 7+ years, or PhD with 6+ years). - 4+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python. - Demonstrated experience leading software or firmware testing, code reviews, and triage for large-scale systems. - Experience managing multi-step firmware validation pipelines and cross-functional engineering deliverables.
Nice to have
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. - 15 years of software engineering or related work experience. - 3 years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports. - 4 years of experience with Database Management Software and 4 years of experience with API. - 3 years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership. - 1 year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or Source Code Management System.
