About the role
This Layout Engineering Intern role focuses on layout design of Mixed Signal Integrated Circuits (ICs).
What you'll do
- Perform block level IC layout, top level integration, floor planning, and area estimation.
- Design power transistor and package lead frames for discrete and module devices.
- Conduct die and package-board parasitic extraction.
- Execute physical verification and post-layout analysis (DRC, LVS, EM, ESD).
- Use advanced tools to automate basic block level layout tasks, floor planning, and area estimations.
- Participate in layout design reviews.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in final years of ongoing studies (master or bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Good understanding of analog electronics theory.
- Good understanding of device physics.
Nice to have
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso or equivalent IC layout design tools.
- IC Layout design experience.
- Knowledge of switching DCDC regulators.
- Unix skills.
- Cadence database management skills.
- Shell or other programming language experience.
