About the role
This role focuses on RFIC, MMIC, RF module, or analog/mixed-signal layout, with an emphasis on advancing layout automation and design productivity.
What you'll do
- Develop physical layouts for RF, microwave, and analog integrated circuits.
- Work closely with circuit designers to translate schematics into manufacturable layouts.
- Apply RF/analog layout techniques including device matching, symmetry, shielding, grounding, isolation, and parasitic optimization.
- Perform and debug DRC, LVS, and other physical verification checks.
- Use Python scripting to improve productivity and automate repetitive layout and design-flow tasks.
- Collaborate with software and automation engineers to translate practical layout requirements into automated solutions.
What you'll need
- Strong hands-on experience in RFIC, microwave, analog, or mixed-signal IC layout.
- Solid understanding of RF and analog layout techniques and physical design considerations.
- Experience with industry-standard IC layout and physical verification tools.
- Experience with DRC, LVS, and parasitic-aware layout.
- Working knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages.
- Ability to work closely with RF/analog circuit designers.
Nice to have
- Experience with MMIC/RFIC design and layout.
- Experience with technologies such as GaAs, GaN, SiGe, RF CMOS.
- Familiarity with Python-based scripting or layout workflow automation.
- Experience developing or working with reusable/parameterized layout structures.
