About the role
This role involves developing DFB laser structures and product design for yield and cost optimization in Sagamihara, Japan.
What you'll do
- Develop DFB laser structures based on semiconductor material physics and optical science.
- Design DFB lasers for yield improvement and cost reduction.
- Support stable volume production and continuous productivity improvement.
- Design and fabricate evaluation parts like submounts.
- Evaluate fabricated chips, analyze evaluation data, and prepare technical reports.
What you'll need
- Degree in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or related technical field.
- Experience in semiconductor laser design and development, including high power DFB laser design, optical simulation, and thermal simulation.
- Knowledge of compound semiconductor InP material system and material physics.
- Experience in analyzing experimental data using JMP or similar statistical analysis tools.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device reliability.
- Fluent Japanese and intermediate English skills.
Nice to have
- Programming skills, such as Excel VBA/macros and Python.
