About the role
This role involves developing, testing, optimizing, and sustaining laser products within the engineering team in Stockport.
What you'll do
- Develop and test laser systems and optical assemblies
- Build, align, and characterize laser prototypes
- Analyze performance data and identify improvement opportunities
- Support product validation and manufacturing readiness
- Troubleshoot complex laser, optical, and system-level issues
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Service teams
- Contribute to new product introduction and sustaining engineering activities
What you'll need
- Degree in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience with lasers, optics, photonics or electro-optical systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability
- Experience creating technical reports and test documentation
