About the role
The Laboratory Operations Intern assists cross-functional teams in establishing laboratory infrastructure and addressing mechanical and thermal challenges. The role supports rack- and POD-level infrastructure systems, including liquid cooling architectures and mechanical structures.
What you'll do
- Assist cross-functional teams in solving mechanical and thermal problems in the laboratory on liquid cooling or mechanical structures. - Sketch laboratory schematics to communicate mechanical and thermal requirements to suppliers. - Draft experimental investigation reports, conduct testing on mechanical parameters, and collaborate on data analysis. - Use CAD software for design analysis and hardware evaluation. - Track delivery schedules for laboratory equipment, assist suppliers with testing equipment setup, and support ongoing improvements. - Monitor schedules for mechanical and thermal components across EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP phases with ODMs and suppliers.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field. - Understanding of mechanical and thermal test setups, test reporting, and laboratory scheduling. - Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE). - Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of HVAC or liquid cooling systems. - Laboratory expertise. - Basic product management expertise for scheduling.
