[Japan] Field Applications Engineer (FAE) - Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan
Deploy EdgeCortix MERA Software Framework and SAKURA-I AI inference devices across edge systems.
About the role
This role drives pre-sales and post-sales technical support for artificial intelligence processor and AI acceleration software products across Japan and the broader APAC region. You will focus on winning customer designs and resolving implementation issues using the MERA Software Framework and SAKURA-I AI inference devices.
What you'll do
- Promote EdgeCortix technology, conduct Proof-of-Concept demos, and write technical proposals to secure design wins alongside the sales team. - Perform architecture, design, and implementation reviews with customer engineers to optimize systems using EdgeCortix products. - Provide direct field technical support to resolve customer issues, optimize designs, and serve as a technical adviser. - Serve as a customer advocate by relaying feedback on EdgeCortix devices, tools, software, and solutions back to internal teams. - Deliver technical presentations, provide benchmarks, and train customers on EdgeCortix product best practices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of related work experience. - Knowledge of OpenCL, C/C++, Python, and TCL. - Technical experience with GPU, FPGA, CPU, or third-party ASIC devices used in AI inference or training. - Understanding of computer architectures or heterogeneous computing systems. - Experience with embedded or edge-focused semiconductor/microprocessor platforms and computer vision applications. - Experience communicating across hardware and software engineering teams and supporting customers in robotics, surveillance, autonomous systems, defense, or space.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of computing memory interfaces, PCIe interface, and network interfaces. - Understanding of LLM/VLM based AI solutions for cloud or edge markets. - Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or ONNX.
