About the role
This student opportunity supports project teams in the development of power semiconductor modules based on silicon and silicon carbide. Technical areas of focus include electrical engineering, mechanics and design, and materials and reliability.
What you'll do
- Support the electrical characterization of semiconductor components, circuit design, electrical simulation, and system modeling.
- Assist in the mechanical conception, automation concepts, cooling design, and thermo-mechanical simulations of power semiconductor modules.
- Characterize assembly and connection materials, investigate material fatigue, and model power semiconductor module reliability.
- Conduct failure analysis and investigate failure mechanisms, insulating materials, and passivating layers.
- Support product strategies, market and competition analysis, and pricing within marketing and controlling disciplines.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in electrical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a comparable discipline.
