About the role
This role is an internship within the MOD Software Quality Assurance (SQA) organization focused on designing test plan specifications and automating test cases for software products. The position involves testing methodologies within a concurrent computing software architecture environment.
What you'll do
- Design, create, and write Test Plan Specifications (TPS) for new software features. - Automate test cases for ongoing regression testing using test frameworks and scripting languages. - Execute functional, performance, and system integration tests across a variety of software platforms. - Run functional and regression tests to verify that new features meet requirements and ensure defect-free deliveries. - Collaborate with software developers, marketing, PEG, PL, and other SQA teams across different products. - Automate testing flows to improve verification efficiency.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics. - Hands-on experience with at least one programming language: Python, C/C++, Java, Perl, or shell scripting. - Experience in a Linux/Unix testing environment. - Knowledge of operating systems, relational databases, concurrent computing, and client/server architecture. - Knowledge of software lifecycle and quality engineering methodology.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI Agent-based testing, evaluation, or automation. - Familiarity with GIT (Bitbucket), JIRA, or Confluence.
