About the role
This internship position assists engineers in designing, developing, and characterizing high-performance RFICs for high-volume RFFE products used in applications such as 5G NR, emerging 6G technologies, and LTE-A cellular handsets. The product line includes RFICs with LNAs, multi-throw high-power RF switches, integrated couplers, and tunable IC filters.
What you'll do
- Perform lab measurements and create validation reports against design expectations.
- Design and implement custom test benches in both hardware and software for product verification.
- Measure, analyze, and document product characterization data for adherence to requirements.
- Assist engineers with the simulation and layout of derivative product designs in Cadence.
What you'll need
- Hands-on use of RF measurement equipment to validate performance of CMOS RF ICs.
- Experience with RF measurements, including NF, IP3, IP2, matching using smith charts, and time domain measurements.
- Knowledge of analog and RF IC Design.
- Familiarity with analog & RF IC layout techniques.
- Proficiency with Matlab, JMP, Datapower, National Instruments LabView, Cadence, and ADS software tools.
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering (must be completing 3+ years).
Nice to have
- Experience with RF/analog IC product characterization and RF measurement techniques.
- Experience or strong interest in AI/ML and/or scripting.
