What you'll do
- Support silicon bring-up, testing, and validation activities for new ASIC devices.
- Characterize device functionality and performance using laboratory equipment, automation tools, and validation environments.
- Develop or enhance scripts, automation solutions, and AI-assisted workflows to improve validation efficiency, failure analysis, and reporting.
- Analyze validation results, debug complex issues, and evaluate AI-generated insights.
- Document technical findings, communicate project results, and present recommendations to engineering teams.
What you'll need
- 0-2 years of relevant experience through internships, research, academic projects, laboratory work, or engineering experience related to ASICs, semiconductor devices, hardware validation, or embedded systems.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of ASIC design, silicon bring-up, validation methodologies, or semiconductor development processes.
- Experience using electronic laboratory equipment through coursework, research, or project activities.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools, AI-enabled workflows, and large language models (LLMs) such as Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Previous internship, research, or project experience in ASIC validation, semiconductor product development, hardware testing, or system validation.
- Programming experience with Python, C/C++, SystemVerilog, or similar languages used for automation and validation.
- Experience applying AI-assisted development, prompt engineering, workflow automation, data analysis, or machine learning techniques to engineering problems.
