About the role
This role focuses on building automation systems and automated facilities supporting utilities for production environments. The individual will act as a system expert for SCADA system programming and operation, PLC programming and troubleshooting, and OT network administration.
What you'll do
- Program, configure, and maintain automation hardware and software including Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, SCADA (FactoryTalk or Ignition) displays, and remote alarm notification applications.
- Monitor and analyze data for process improvements and issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot and monitor OT networks for communication issues and potential security risks.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for hardware and software solutions, including specifications, guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in system testing, operations, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to create resilient control systems.
- Lead multi-disciplined, cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives within cost, time, and quality constraints.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- PLC programming in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix platforms, and Siemens PLC programming experience.
- HMI/SCADA programming in Ignition, FactoryTalk View SE/ME.
- Experience with temperature, pressure, level, conductivity, PH, vibration instrumentation, sensors, and other field I/O devices.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, functional specifications, electrical schematics, and operational manuals.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM.
