About the role
This role leads the hardware engineering team responsible for high-performance switch system design from concept to mass production.
What you'll do
- Lead and support engineering teams in specification definition, electrical schematics, and opto-mechanical design.
- Guide component selection, layout guidance, hands-on lab testing, and production processes.
- Oversee qualification workflows, micro-architecture development, verification, characterization, and design for testability.
- Collaborate with Board Design, Assembly Process, Mechanics, Thermal, PCB Layout, Process, Production Engineering, Software/Firmware, Procurement, and NPI disciplines.
- Plan and oversee team work on multiple simultaneous development projects, manage direct reports, and set goals.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ overall years of industry experience in architecture, design, and methodology for board design development.
- 6+ years of technical design management experience.
- Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary projects and multi-layer, high density PCB design.
- Deep understanding of broadband high-speed ICs.
- Ability to provide insight and guidance on trade-offs between power, performance, manufacturability, thermals, and cost.
