About the role
This internship involves contributing to the development of silicon validation boards (EVB) and customer reference design boards (CRB) for various products. You will work within the System Engineering Hardware team on products including compute processors, CXL accelerators, Security controllers, and custom SoCs.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with system design engineers on hardware platform design, review, bring-up, and validation.
- Perform hands-on lab testing and debugging for board-level issues.
- Customize and validate FPGA logic for evaluation board control and system enablement.
- Review hardware schematics and PCB layouts.
- Support hardware and software bring-up activities.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in digital circuit design and analysis.
- Experience with embedded programming using C.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting fundamentals.
- Understanding of industry-standard communication protocols such as I2C and SPI.
- Exposure to FPGA/RTL design, including simulation, synthesis, implementation, and verification.
