This role involves driving product definition and system design for evaluation and test as a Hardware Board Design Senior Staff Engineer. The scope includes tailoring board and package design solutions for Marvell switch products, considering SI/PI, performance, and cost targets.
What you'll do
- Drive product definition and system design for evaluation and test.
- Lead board design phases, including architecture, component selection, schematic entry, and board layout.
- Guide designs with ODM partners and collaborate with internal board development, DVT, and SI teams.
- Provide system-related inputs for device definition to the device design team.
- Own the board design process from definition to tape-out and post-manufacturing bring-up.
What you'll need
- BS in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of related experience.
- 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer designing high-speed digital or analog circuitry on complex high-density printed circuit board assemblies, including Ethernet switches, microcontrollers, and processors.
- 5+ years of experience working with ODMs.
- 5+ years of experience designing high-density boards with fine pitch components and high-density connections.
- Expertise in High Speed designs and interfaces such as DDR4, PCIe Gen3/4, 10G/25G/ 50G/100G Ethernet.
- Good knowledge of power supply designs and hands-on measurement experience.
- Familiarity with Cadence Allegro schematics and layout tools.
- Understanding of mechanical and thermal components and their usage in board design.
