About the role
As a GPU Performance Analysis Engineer on the Qualcomm Graphics System Team, you will contribute to performance analysis at the GPU level for graphics and raytracing workloads such as benchmarks and games. You will analyze performance silicon measurements in Android and evaluate SW/HW/Architectural knobs to identify performance improvement opportunities.
What you'll do
- Execute performance and power analysis at the GPU level for graphics and raytracing workloads across benchmarks and games. - Identify and explain performance gaps through competitive perf/power analysis to support architectural, hardware, and software enhancement opportunities. - Develop tools for streamlined, scalable debug and validation tasks. - Support presilicon workload enablement efforts for analyzed workloads and games. - Write rendering applications using graphics APIs such as Vulkan, HLSL, GLSL, and SPIR-V to analyze GPU bottlenecks and rendering pipelines.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree with 5+ years, or PhD with 4+ years). - Understanding of GPU architecture and rendering pipelines. - Demonstrated ability to write rendering applications using Vulkan and other graphics APIs, including HLSL, GLSL, or SPIR-V. - Strong programming skills in Python and C. - Experience with performance analysis and silicon measurements in Android.
Nice to have
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field. - Experience with GFXR capture/playback for Vulkan and RenderDoc capture and data interpretation. - Experience in competitive performance analysis for GPU-centric use cases. - Post-silicon debugging experience.
