About the role
The Design Implementation Engineer will manage front end implementation design challenges and methodology within Qualcomm's Adreno GPU team.
What you'll do
- Work with graphics microarchitecture and physical design teams to meet Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) targets - Support new methodologies and flows for tape-outs - Collaborate with RTL designers to improve power and performance bottlenecks - Develop innovative solutions to improve power and eliminate performance bottlenecks
What you'll need
- Experience with digital design and RTL synthesis - Understanding of CMOS circuit design and design techniques for Power, Performance, and Area of complex designs - Working knowledge of scripting skills including Tcl, Perl, or Python - Background and experience working with industry standard Synthesis and Place and Route tools, including Signoff tools - Hands-on experience taping out designs in sub-micron technology node design < 10nm
Nice to have
- Hands-on working experience in Physical design implementation - Working knowledge of sub-micron technology process nodes, including 5nm, 4nm, FINFETs, and GAA - Knowledge and experience of graphics design and development - Familiarity with industry standard EDA tools for synthesis, formal verification, timing analysis, and physical design - Experience leading a high-performance team to push aggressive PPA targets - Strong background in VLSI design
