About the role
Manage customer expectations and software release issues by investigating high value problems, systemic bugs, and software failures across equipment platforms.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot complex software problems and collaborate with engineering teams and peer groups to improve product quality. - Track software performance and quality at external customer sites, feeding customer scenarios and use cases back to software test teams. - Perform customer scenario validation for key software enhancements. - Interface with external customers for requirements analysis, prioritization, and schedule management. - Engage early with product software development teams to develop Field Readiness and Software Readiness checklists for New Product Introductions. - Develop and deliver software training programs for field, lab, and manufacturing engineers, as well as junior-level engineers.
What you'll need
- Conceptual and practical expertise in software support and troubleshooting for semiconductor equipment. - Experience with Applied Materials equipment. - Experience conducting root cause analysis and participating in after action reviews. - Ability to document work activities in line with BKM practices. - Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
