About the role
Manage customer expectations and issues with software releases while providing prioritized platform requests to the business unit. In this role, you will investigate high value problems, systemic bugs, and software failures on Applied Materials equipment.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot complex software problems and collaborate with engineering teams to improve product quality. - Track software performance and quality at customer sites, feeding back customer scenarios and use cases to test teams. - Perform customer scenario validation for key software enhancements. - Interface with external customers for requirements analysis, prioritization, and scheduling. - Engage early with product software development teams on customer features and build Field Readiness and Software Readiness checklists for New Product Introductions. - Develop software training programs for field, lab, and manufacturing engineers, and train junior engineers on departmental procedures and product operation.
What you'll need
- Professional experience supporting and operating Applied Materials equipment. - Conceptual and practical expertise in software support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. - Experience developing Field Readiness and Software Readiness checklists for New Product Introductions. - Ability to document work activities in line with Best Known Method (BKM) practices. - Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
