The Global Software Support Engineer I understands and resolves Applied Materials' equipment software application and systems issues of low complexity with supervision.
What you'll do
- Understand and resolve equipment software application and systems issues of low complexity. - Provide customer software support via the software ticketing system. - Assist in analyzing software issues reported on customer tools by field engineers. - Review equipment software documentation, key customer features, and installation or upgrade instructions for software product releases. - Participate in after-action reviews to determine root cause and document work activities in line with BKM practices. - Complete company-level trainings and certifications to acquire specific product knowledge.
What you'll need
- Conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a software or engineering discipline. - Beginner-level understanding of BU product, system software, and software troubleshooting tools/BKMs and infrastructure. - Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems and analyze information to make judgments. - Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
