About the role
The General Accountant supports consolidated accounting operations, compliance with internal policies and guidelines, and SOX internal controls.
What you'll do
- Maintain primary and statutory books, preparing month-end close journal entries and related close activities.
- Prepare account reconciliations, financial reviews, and comparative variance analyses.
- Ensure SOX compliance and fulfill documentation requirements, coordinating with external auditors during financial audits.
- Manage local statutory compliance requirements and coordinate with third-party accounting and payroll providers across regional entities.
- Oversee end-to-end accounting processes, processing employee expense reimbursements in Concur, and supporting ad hoc financial reporting.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong technical accounting background with thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
- Disciplined work paper preparation skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical accounting issues to finance and non-finance teams across a global organization.
Nice to have
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Experience with Oracle ERP, BlackLine, and Concur systems.
- Background in sales office accounting.
