About the role
This role focuses on FPGA design applications engineering within the Software Validation and Customer Experience Group, specializing in Quartus Software tools and example design solutions.
What you'll do
- Create example designs showcasing products and teaching customers software tool usage.
- Respond to customer technical questions, debug and reproduce issues, and drive resolution with engineering and customers.
- Review specifications and requirements, perform product evaluations, and provide feedback on ease of use.
- Define and develop example designs and unit tests, performing checkout for feature release readiness.
- Develop technical assets such as user guides, application notes, example designs, demos, and training.
- Create AI skills and agents to reduce customer design time.
What you'll need
- Master of Science degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering with a minimum five years of related applications engineering or system design experience.
- Experience with FPGA Design Software tools and common third-party simulators.
- Experience with debugging and using signal analysis tools.
- Experience with creating FPGA designs including minimal software (BareMetal).
- Experience working with FPGA development boards.
Nice to have
- Experience with Power and Thermal Analysis.
- Familiarity with GitHub workflows and Visual Studio Code.
- Experience with using AI tools and creating skills.
- Experience creating FPGA designs that include PCIe or SoC, including basic software.
