About the role
As a Firmware Engineer, you will join the embedded storage systems development team to design, implement, and debug low-level firmware for storage controllers. This role primarily focuses on RAID functionality on ARM-based microprocessors.
What you'll do
- Develop new features and maintain firmware for storage products.
- Work on storage products supporting PCIe, NVMe, and/or SAS/SATA protocols.
- Support product solution validation and firmware release activities.
- Gather and analyze logs to root cause and resolve functional, performance, and data integrity issues.
- Participate in storage product feature design and implementation reviews.
- Troubleshoot low-level firmware and hardware interaction issues using DSTREAM and logical analyzers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in CS, ECE, or EE.
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Working knowledge of embedded processors - ARM.
- Experience using AI/LLM based tools within an embedded firmware workflow, such as AI coding assistants for code generation, review, and debugging.
- Experience with AI-assisted test-case generation.
- Experience with AI-assisted documentation.
