About the role

This role involves managing and reporting financial activities, including Opex, Capex, spend management, inventory, costing, and grant management, for the Singapore operations of the Photonics Platforms Business (PPB).

What you'll do

• Own day-to-day Opex, Capex and Spend management and reporting activities.
• Lead in-quarter spending and budget management with business partners.
• Perform variance analysis, explain forecast-to-actual changes, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain, review, and analyze standard cost drivers and perform variance analysis on standard cost variances.
• Track and support Grant submission, claims, reviews, and reporting.
• Consolidate financials for P&L forecasting and reporting, and develop/automate processes and reporting tools.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, business or operations finance, portfolio finance, investment analysis, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience managing Standard costs, Inventory, Opex and Capex.
• Experience working cross-functionally and supporting business decision-making.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning and reporting tools (Anaplan, SAP BPC, Tableau, or similar).
• Proven experience in business partnering, with a track record of communicating effectively across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor, technology, manufacturing, R&D-intensive and/or start-up environments.
