About the role
The Field Service/Start-Up Engineer provides technical support, on-site services, equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance for customers under moderate supervision.
What you'll do
- Provide on-site technical support to resolve equipment issues in a timely manner.
- Perform equipment installations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance per company guidelines and customer requirements.
- Accurately document service activities, service reports, equipment repair records, and customer communications.
- Train customers on the safe use of equipment and provide guidance on basic troubleshooting procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Engineering and Quality Assurance.
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices alongside the Service Manager and team members.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant industry experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and software applications to resolve technical issues.
- Flexibility to travel frequently to customer sites, often on short notice.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
