About the role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of Veeco Wet Processing equipment.
What you'll do
- Perform installation, upgrade, testing, warranty, and repair activities, following safety and security protocols.
- Isolate and resolve equipment and system malfunctions.
- Assist with the implementation of new processes, methods, and designs.
- Develop relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
- Serve as a contact for onsite activities, communications, and technical support.
- Report all tool actions/events and daily activities in field service reports.
What you'll need
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or specific immigration status for ITAR-controlled information access.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical area and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, robotics, and computer controls.
- System integration, test, and debug skills.
- Experience with Semiconductor industry safety requirements and clean room environment.
- Ability to travel up to 85% of the time within North America.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
