About the role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of Veeco Wet Processing equipment.
What you'll do
- Perform activities during installation, upgrade, testing, warranty, and repair of equipment.
- Isolate and resolve equipment and system malfunctions.
- Assist with the implementation of new processes, methods, and designs.
- Serve as the contact for onsite activities, communications, and support for Veeco customers.
- Report all tool actions/events and daily activities in field service reports.
- Adhere to safety and confidentiality policies.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical area and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, robotics, and computer controls.
- System integration, test, and debug skills.
- Experience with Semiconductor industry safety requirements and clean room environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel 85% of the time within North America.
