About the role
This role involves delivering high-impact work related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor equipment.
What you'll do
- Repair system level problems based on technical knowledge and certification.
- Access and determine problems in customer processes, including chemical leaks or contamination.
- Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and provide documentation on re-occurring problems.
- Prepare quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses, and parts needed.
- Cross-train and assist other field service engineers; provide guidance to less senior engineers.
- Conduct customer orientation and technical training on equipment maintenance support for user applications.
- Travel to customer facilities and support customers throughout the western US and other regions in North America.
- Contribute to the capturing, re-use, collaboration, and improvement of knowledge using available systems.
What you'll need
- 3 years of work experience or a Bachelor's Level Degree.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in working on electromechanical equipment within a cleanroom environment.
Nice to have
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Experience working in the semiconductor industry.
- Hands-on experience with KLA Metrology equipment (Archer10 - A700).
