About the role
This role involves performing customer support activities including installation, modification, repair, and preventive maintenance of complex equipment and systems. The Field Service Engineer will instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of these systems.
What you'll do
- Deliver on-site services including installation, planning, troubleshooting, upgrades, calibration, preventive maintenance, and customer training.
- Perform timely problem site management, including triggering alert processes and proactive communication until problem resolution.
- Advise customers on environmental factors affecting system operation, such as humidity, power, and air conditioning.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers by understanding their current and future operational support needs.
- Complete weekly timesheets and field maintenance reports, account for expenses and inventory, and follow safety practices.
- Attend necessary training to increase competency in assigned technology and improve professionalism.
What you'll need
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Robotics, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
- Minimum five years of experience in field service support in Wet cleaning process equipment (Metal Lift Off, PR Strip, Wet Etch) and Semiconductor process equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers to resolve technical equipment issues.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Reading and Writing fluency in English.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently out of home base.
