About the role
This role involves providing on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for complex semiconductor equipment, ensuring operational excellence for customers.
What you'll do
- Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and complete installation/relocation start-up services for complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
- Perform analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
- Maintain records and reports to coordinate activities between Lam Research and the customer.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, representing Lam Research to customers and delivering customer satisfaction.
- Update customers on the status of Lam Research tools as needed.
What you'll need
- Technical Degree/Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 2+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment or a cleanroom suit.
- Ability to frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) to perform job tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to travel frequently, domestically and internationally, and flexibility to work a variety of shifts including compressed and alternative workweeks, overtime, and on-call.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
- Experience in Electroplating area and knowledge of Sabre/Sabre 3D.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Foundational knowledge of German.
- Foundational analytical and problem-solving skills.
