About the role
This role involves providing premier customer support for Lam's complex semiconductor equipment, ensuring operational excellence and minimizing downtime.
What you'll do
- Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation start-up services for Lam's complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
- Perform analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and issue isolation to the component level.
- Maintain records and reports to coordinate activities between Lam and customers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, representing Lam to customers and delivering exceptional satisfaction.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or an advanced degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment or a cleanroom suit.
- Ability to frequently position oneself (e.g., bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) to perform job tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to travel frequently, domestically and internationally, based on customer needs, with flexibility for various shifts, overtime, and on-call.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with common office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
