Originally posted 19 October 2026 by the employer.

Support ASM Synergis and Pulsar thermal ALD deposition systems in a high-volume manufacturing fab environment.

About the role

As a member of the Global Sales and Services business unit, you will serve as the on-site technical bridge supporting ASM Synergis and Pulsar thermal ALD deposition systems at a customer fab in North Phoenix. The role focuses on process performance, equipment qualification, tool-to-tool matching, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a high-volume manufacturing semiconductor environment.

What you'll do

- Support ASM Synergis and Pulsar thermal ALD systems through installation, start-up, qualification, HVM ramp, and production-support activities. - Monitor process performance, tool-to-tool matching, process stability, and customer specifications through structured data review. - Troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment-related issues alongside Field Service Engineers, customer engineers, and global technical teams. - Conduct experiments and data analysis for process qualification, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and process-window optimization. - Analyze thin-film characteristics including thickness, uniformity, particles/defects, and composition using DOE, SPC, baseline comparisons, and statistical analysis. - Collect and evaluate process, metrology, tool-state, and chamber-performance data to support technical decision-making and escalations.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related technical discipline. - 0–3 years of relevant experience, with exposure to thermal ALD, thin-film deposition, semiconductor processing, surface chemistry, reaction kinetics, vacuum systems, or gas/pressure/flow systems. - Ability to analyze experimental and process data using tools such as JMP, Python, MATLAB, or Excel. - Ability to work on-site in a customer semiconductor fab and cleanroom environment in North Phoenix. - Flexibility to support extended hours, weekends when required for qualifications/escalations, and travel as needed for training or technical support.

Nice to have

- Hands-on academic, internship, research, or industry experience with thermal ALD or thin-film deposition. - Familiarity with ALD fundamentals, including precursor chemistry, surface reactions, temperature effects, film growth, uniformity, and process optimization. - Experience with semiconductor equipment manufacturers, OEM suppliers, or semiconductor manufacturing environments. - Experience with DOE, SPC, statistical analysis, metrology, or characterization of thin films. - Previous cleanroom, fab, laboratory, or semiconductor equipment experience. - Mandarin language proficiency.

Skills: thermal ALD deposition systems, thin-film deposition, equipment qualification, process performance, troubleshooting, semiconductor processing
