About the role
As a Field Process Engineer 4, you are responsible for process support, evaluation, and documentation of process outputs for hardware modifications, upgrades, and new applications of Lam equipment at customer sites. You support customers in installations, training, and identifying design improvements in collaboration with product groups.
What you'll do
- Provide process support, installation, and process development for new applications of Lam equipment at customer sites. - Serve as field support for Beta sites, evaluations, and first-in-fab installations. - Design and conduct experiments, collect data, analyze results, generate reports, and provide recommendations to optimize device architecture and process modules. - Partner with customers to address process deviations through root cause analysis and meet requirements for new and existing technology processes. - Develop new or modified processes, define best known method process recipes, and partner with hardware engineering to characterize hardware designs and define chamber requirements. - Coordinate statistical analysis of failure rates, develop continuous improvement plans (CIP), and recommend design changes.
What you'll need
- PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related field; or MS with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or BS with 6+ years of work experience. - Proficiency in computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. - Written, verbal, and customer relationship communication skills. - Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing personal protective safety equipment or a cleanroom suit, including on-call availability if needed.
Nice to have
- In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
