About the role
This role involves providing customer-focused expertise on Lam equipment, delivering process support, evaluation, and documentation for hardware modifications and upgrades. The scope includes supporting customer installations, training, and identifying design improvements with product groups, focusing on resolving and improving process, system, and productivity at customer sites.
What you'll do
- Provide process support, installation, and develop processes for new applications of Lam equipment at customer sites.
- Serve as key field support for Beta sites, evaluations, or first-in-fab installations.
- Design and conduct experiments, collect data, analyze results, generate reports, and provide recommendations to optimize device architecture and process modules.
- Partner with customers to meet requirements for new technology processes, support existing processes, and address process deviations through root cause analysis.
- Develop new or modified processes, define best known method process recipes, and partner with hardware engineering to define chamber requirements and characterize hardware designs.
- Coordinate statistical analysis of failure rates and develop continuous improvement plans (CIP).
What you'll need
- PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related field; or Master of Science with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or Bachelor of Science with 6+ years of work experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment or cleanroom suit, and on-call if needed.
Nice to have
- In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, reacting to shifting priorities, and meeting business needs and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, customers, and partners.
- Collaborative mindset in a matrixed environment.
