About the role
As a Field Applications Engineer within the Solutions Engineering Group, you will provide hands-on technical assistance to customers working with digital and mixed-signal devices.
What you'll do
- Devise techniques for testing and characterizing digital and mixed-signal devices. - Write and debug test programs in IGXL using Visual Basic or C# to demonstrate instrument features. - Debug customer test program issues and develop solutions to keep production running. - Reproduce customer software and hardware problems for Teradyne engineering teams while delivering interim solutions. - Teach technical classes and seminars to customers and Teradyne engineers, and write technical papers for the Teradyne Users Group conference. - Travel 10% or greater to customer sites to assist design, test, product, and manufacturing engineers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar technical field. - Programming experience with Visual Basic or C#. - Technical problem-solving skills with an interest in digital and mixed-signal device testing. - Ability to work from the Plano, TX office most days of the week. - Ability to travel 10% or greater as required based on customer and business needs.
Nice to have
- At least one year of test development experience. - Experience with scopes and test equipment. - Experience with scripting languages. - Experience with AI tools.
