About the role
This role involves partnering with Sales and providing MCU-related technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, identifying solutions for customer projects, and creating new opportunities. This position focuses on C2000 Digital Signal Processors optimized for digital power applications.
What you'll do
- Partner with the assigned account Sales team to design-in TI MCU/Digital power controllers in ODM/OEM.
- Work closely with internal IC design teams, ODM, and OEM.
- Maintain direct and constant presence with ODM/OEM architects to exchange insights, learn design challenges, and brainstorm IC proposals.
- Lead discussions on new part definitions externally and internally, mobilizing design teams for differentiation.
- Leverage the Business Unit to develop reference designs matching customer needs.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience with digital power technical knowledge.
- Understanding of digital-power Datacenter/Server PSU standards.
- Deep understanding of high-efficiency AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC topologies (Totem-Pole/T-Type PFC, LLC Resonant Converters, Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge).
- Proficiency with C2000 Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) optimized for digital power.
- Strong skills in C/C++ language for real-time control environments, including debugging, modifying, and optimizing SDKs or reference firmware.
- Mastery over advanced MCU peripherals critical for power, such as High-Resolution PWMs (HR-PWM) and high-speed Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs).
Nice to have
- Experience with ARM Cortex M based MCUs.
- Experience in cryptography, especially post-quantum cryptography (PQC).
- Understanding of competitors’ devices and strategy, including STM32G4x and dsPIC33Cx/Ax.
