About the role
This senior Field Applications Engineer role supports major automotive customer accounts and proactively solves design challenges through creative application solutions and product recommendations. The position requires significant customer interfacing activity with a focus on discrete semiconductors, analog ICs, power management devices, quartz frequency control devices, plus timing and connectivity ICs.
What you'll do
- Provide technical and sales support for company products including diodes, rectifiers, transistors, MOSFETs, and protection devices.
- Understand automotive system application requirements to obtain new sales opportunities and provide technical recommendations.
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering groups to define new products and advocate new technology solutions with customers.
- Prepare data and documentation for customer product presentations, conduct training sessions, and demonstrate new products.
- Act in an engineering teaching capacity with sales channels and customer design teams.
- Align with the Regional Sales Manager on managing the sales cycle for new business opportunities.
What you'll need
- BSEE required.
- At least 10 years of design experience.
- Understanding of AEC-Q and PPAP requirements.
- Strong technical background with discrete semiconductors, analog ICs, power management devices, quartz frequency control devices, plus timing and connectivity ICs.
- Ability to dissect technical needs and communicate product and application suggestions.

- Automotive experience.
