About the role
As a Facilities Mechanical Technician at Intel Foundry, you will maintain and optimize mechanical systems critical to manufacturing and research activities. You will work with HVAC systems, plumbing, and industrial equipment supporting cleanroom activities and facility operations.
What you'll do
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, air handlers, boilers, chillers, and exhaust systems. - Troubleshoot operational issues with industrial systems to ensure performance and reliability. - Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. - Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical systems and support asset replacement strategies for facility expansion. - Partner with operations teams and internal customers to deliver engineering solutions aligned with operational requirements. - Provide technical input for design documentation, testing, and prototype fabrication while identifying inefficiencies to drive continuous improvement.
What you'll need
- Associate of Arts/Science degree or Trade Certification in HVAC, Mechanical, Chemical, Facilities Maintenance Technology, or a related STEM field, plus at least 4 years of relevant work experience; OR at least 4 years of military experience in Mechanical Systems, HVAC, Refrigeration, Water Treatment, Electrical/Power, or related facilities maintenance roles. - Mandatory EPA 608 Universal Certification. - Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC, air handlers, boilers, chillers, plumbing, and industrial exhaust systems.
Nice to have
- Expertise in VOC, scrubber, and exhaust system maintenance. - Proficiency in using Maximo and ICMTL systems for facilities and maintenance operations.
