About the role
This Staff Engineer position is responsible for managing the lifecycle of assigned part types, including technology transfers, yield ramp, and process optimization within Fab 6. This role drives technology transfers between Taiwan and Virginia fabs and ensures alignment between sending and receiving high-volume manufacturing sites.
What you'll do
- Manage the lifecycle of assigned part types, including technology transfers, yield ramp, and process optimization.
- Conduct yield performance analysis, analyze yield variation, and identify top issues and yield gaps to business plans.
- Coordinate Technology transfer Nodes and Design ID Framework setup, including process flow and system setup (Q-time, SPC, GeRM, N2, LMS, attributes).
- Drive conversion catch-up yield across Design IDs and coordinate cross-fab inline matching.
- Develop and implement plans to shorten the yield learning cycle.
- Analyze probe bin failures, inline data, and defect pareto to identify root causes and corrective actions.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Science, Materials Science or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
- Semiconductor process flow experience.
- Experience with semiconductor inline data and electrical data.
- Ability to apply data analysis techniques to manufacturing and test data, including statistical methods such as t-tests and distribution comparisons.
- Experience analyzing correlations between electrical test results and in-line process or metrology measurements.
- Familiarity with conversion reports and deviation assessments.
- Understanding of fab operations, including engineering workflows and business processes.
- Ability to drive CIP and lead technical conversions to improve Yield, Quality, and Cycle Time.
